Make a difference in the lives of others

Volunteers are the heart and soul of Faith in Action because they donate their time and talents to enhance the quality of life for our senior neighbors. All services Offered by Faith in Action are provided free of charge by volunteers who have the desire to serve others. These services include transportation, shopping, reassurance calls, friendly visitation, minor home tasks, paperwork assistance and brief respite for family caregivers. These activities allow our neighbors to sustain their independence, have social interaction and maintain their health.

It is easy to become a Faith in Action volunteer. We ask that potential volunteers to have a desire to serve others, an ability to work with people of different backgrounds, faiths, or non-faith traditions. Volunteers will be vetted and trained by Faith in Action staff. They will receive training about the policies and procedures that would help in working with care receivers. Volunteers can give as much time as they choose and can pick which assignments fits their schedule. Each volunteer provides a timesheet every month which they have volunteered hours of service. Our volunteers tell us they love what they do and feel blessed by doing it.
